How does the pick up of my camper work?

🏠 Preparation via Online Check-in: from 7 days before pick-up

Complete the necessary Online Check-in in your customer account. This includes:

You will then receive your pick-up pass, which will still be inactive.

📍 On the day of your pick-up: Activate your Pick-up Pass

Once you arrive at your pick-up station, activate your Pick-up Pass in your customer account. This lets our colleagues on site know that you are ready to have your documents checked. It's easy – you can use the following options to log in to your customer account:

  • Scan the QR code on the banner next to our Welcome Point
    or
  • Click on the button in the email you will receive from us one day before your pick-up.

You can then complete the activation of your Pick-up Pass directly in your customer account.

If you haven't already done so at home, you must now complete the Online Check-in – otherwise, our staff on site will not be able to start your pick-up. With everything prepared in advance, the process is quick and easy for everyone!

🛎️ At the Welcome Point

  • When you check in with your Pick-up Pass, our staff on site will know that you are ready for handover and will come to you.
  • They will check the documents of all drivers (please bring the originals with you).
  • Photos of the main driver's documents will be taken.
  • The deposit will be collected.

🚌 Meet your travel companion

Your Camper Tutorial has provided you with theoretical knowledge about your camper – now it's time to put it into practice! In the following Final Checks, you will get to know your roadsurfer in practice and learn the most important things you need to know to be optimally prepared for your trip. The Final Checks replace a personal briefing, as they provide you with comprehensive information:

  • You will perform the most important functions of your camper so that you are familiar with them.
  • You will clearly mark any functions that you still have questions about.
  • you confirm that all booked and free accessories are in the camper and you know where they are stored

At the end of the Final Checks, you discuss any remaining questions and carry out the damage check:

  • To do this, return to the Welcome Point and a member of staff will go through any existing damage with you. Take a close look at the camper to see if you notice anything else.
  • If you notice any damage, please inform us. We will assess the damage and document it accordingly, if necessary.
  • If you are unsure, take a photo or video of the camper to record its condition at the time of handover.
  • Please note that it is unfortunately not possible to report damage after the vehicle has been handed over.

🖊️ Sign the rental contract and be on your way

  • Never drive off the lot without signing the rental agreement!
  • You will then receive an e-mail with your rental contract and the recorded damages.
  • At this moment, the breakdown assistance section will appear in your customer account. Make a note of the number of the mobility service provider if you are going to an area with poor internet coverage!
  • Don't forget that you can access your customer account while you are on the road. Here you can extend your rental, change the return date, check the status of your deposit, look up anything in the Camper Tutorial at any time, watch how-to videos and much more!
