Why do I have to pay a handling fee?

Nobody wants to see unexpected costs at the end of a trip. So here's what to expect: a handling fee applies when a traffic offence (such as speeding, unpaid tolls, or incorrect parking) occurs during your booking, or when damage is caused to the camper.

The fee is €49 and covers the administrative work involved – for example, processing official documents and communicating with the relevant authorities.

For damage cases: the handling fee is charged in addition for damages over €100. It is separate from your excess and not part of the actual damage amount. For example: with an excess of €150 and a handling fee of €49, the total comes to €199.
