Here is a brief explanation of why Roadsurfer does not refund value added tax (VAT).
Roadsurfer is legally obliged to correctly calculate VAT on all services and pay it to the relevant tax authorities. We do not issue refunds because:
- VAT is a consumption tax that is paid by those who use the service.
- Refunds can be obtained through official procedures.
What you can do as a company or international person:
If you are booking for business purposes or are coming from abroad, under certain conditions it is possible to reclaim the VAT paid via the relevant tax authorities – not via Roadsurfer. In such cases, please contact a tax advisor or the relevant tax authority in your country.
