Is your dashboard indicating that you need to top up your oil, coolant, or windshield washer fluid?
Of course, we check the oil, coolant and wiper fluid levels before you set off. But especially if you drive a lot of kilometers, your Roadsurfer may still need maintenance along the way. You are responsible for the vehicle during your rental. ❤️
Therefore, check the following points and top them up or replace them if necessary.
Engine oil:
You can find everything you need to know about engine oil in the article "Check and top up engine oil level" in the relevant vehicle section. 😊
Windshield wiper fluid:
- Open the hood by operating the lever in the driver's area. This looks like this, depending on the model:
- Now look for the wiper water tank (marked below):
- You can buy wiper fluid concentrate at any petrol station or DIY store.
Mix it with water in the ratio indicated on the bottle.
Windshield wiper blades:
These normally last up to two years - so you shouldn't need to change them. If you feel that your windshield wipers are not working properly in the rain, follow these steps:
- Fold up the windshield wipers and clean the rubber wiper blades with a cloth. This is often enough to achieve an improvement.
- If this does not help, you can replace the wiper blades. Make sure that you use the same type of wiper blades as before. It's best to take the old wiper blades out and take them to a hardware store or gas station to buy the exact same wiper blades.
You should not spend more than a maximum of €10 per wiper blade! Upload the receipt to your customer account for reimbursement.
