If you’re disputing a damage charge, here’s what happens with your deposit:
Temporary Hold During Assessment
- Your deposit may be held while roadsurfer reviews and assesses the reported damage.
- This is a standard process to make sure all facts are checked before any money is released or used.
What Happens After the Assessment
Once the damage assessment is complete, your deposit will either be:
- Released back to you if no damage is confirmed, or
- Used (offset) to cover the confirmed damage costs.
Separate Invoices
If your deposit is released before the assessment is finished, you might still receive a separate invoice for any confirmed damage later.
No Double Charging
You will never be charged twice for the same damage. Deposits and invoices are always offset transparently.
Transparency and Timeline
- roadsurfer can provide a clear explanation of how your deposit was used and the timeline for each step.
- If you have questions about the calculation or timing, just ask the support team for details via the Contact form — we’re happy to help!
