How does the return of my camper work?

2 days before your drop-off, the return checklist will open in your customer account. Here you’ll find all the to-dos – tailored to your vehicle. This makes the drop-off quick and easy!

  • For cleaning, go through the return checklist step by step. You can find more general information here: How do I clean my camper?
  • Please note: If the vehicle is returned heavily soiled, with a full (toilet) tank and/or if prohibitions are disregarded (unauthorised transport of animals without the corresponding booking and smoking in the vehicle), additional cleaning fees may apply.
  • If you are looking for a disposal station to empty waste water and the toilet, check Google Maps or the info for your drop-off station, where we have researched disposal options nearby for you.
  • Please refuel all consumable fluids shortly before drop-off. In Europe, this means diesel and AdBlue, in North America petrol/diesel, propane gas and, if applicable, DEF (=AdBlue).
You will usually find a filling station with AdBlue refilling option near our locations – we have compiled a list for you.

📅 Plan your drop-off

For your drop-off, please be punctual at the station you selected at the time you chose. You can check when and where to return your camper in your customer account and adjust the drop-off time up to 2 days before drop-off.

📍 On the day of your drop-off: Check in

As soon as you arrive at your pick-up station, check in for drop-off via your customer account. This lets the team on site know that you are ready for your camper to be checked. It’s very easy – you can use the following options to log in to your customer account:

  • Scan the QR code on the banner next to our Welcome Point
    or
  • Click on the button in the email you receive from us one day before your drop-off.

Now click "Check in for drop-off":

This lets the staff on site know that you are ready for drop-off and they will come to you.

Even though we always try to keep to the selected drop-off time, there may be short waiting times on particularly busy days.

🔑 Key handover & Quick-Check

Now hand over the key to a member of staff, who will check your returned vehicle for cleanliness and general condition, which may take a few minutes. If additional fees are due or there is still an outstanding amount from your rental, you will either receive a separate invoice or be asked to pay on site.

Now you can go home.

🔎 Detailed inspection for damage & drop-off report

To save you time and make your drop-off as efficient as possible, we carry out the detailed damage inspection after you have left the station. This can take 24 to 48 hours.

As soon as the inspection is complete, you will receive the return protocol. If we have not found any damage, your deposit will be released immediately (depending on the card type it will reappear in your bank account at different speeds). Track the status of your deposit and any damage in your customer account.

(Optional) 🧾Damage assessment & invoicing

If we have found new damage in connection with your rental, the deposit will remain blocked until the damage has been assessed by the expert team. The team will evaluate the costs and whether we will invoice you for them. Once the assessment is complete, you will receive the full documentation and, if applicable, the invoice by email. This can take 5 to 14 working days.

Here you can find more information about damage cases and invoicing.
