Plans change — we get it. What you get back depends on just two things: the date you made your booking and whether you added the Flex option. Both are in your booking confirmation
Please note: This article only applies to bookings made on or after 12 November 2025. If your booking was made before 12 November 2025, please refer to this article instead: Did you book before 12 November 2025? Your cancellation and rebooking conditions.
Good to know: The cut-off date refers to the day you placed your booking, not to your travel dates. A trip in 2026 that you booked in October 2025 still follows the older conditions.
You can move, extend or cancel your booking yourself in your customer account. It also shows the exact amount you'd get back: Customer Account – edit, extend or cancel your booking.

- Standard Rate & Flex Option

- How to extend your booking
- Moving your trip to later dates
For bookings made on or after 12 November 2025 there are two rates, with one difference between them: Flex buys you a free cancellation window and a split payment. On the Standard rate a cancellation isn't refunded — but moving your trip stays possible at any time.
Standard rate
- When you pay: you pay 100% of your rental price when you book. Nothing is left to pay later.
- Free cancellation: a free cancellation is not possible — not 60 days before pick-up, and not at any other point in time.
- If you cancel: your rental price is not refunded, whenever you cancel. Your travel fee comes back if you cancel more than 48 hours before pick-up. Your booking fee is not refunded.
- Moving or extending your trip: this is possible at any time before pick-up.
- If your new dates cost more: you pay the difference — whenever you rebook.
- If your new dates cost less: we refund the difference if you rebook more than 60 days before pick-up. If you rebook 60 days or less before pick-up, we can't refund the difference.
- Shortening your trip: the days you drop are not refundable, at any point in time.
Flex option
- When you pay: with the Flex option, you pay 50% when you book and the remaining 50% 60 days before pick-up — if you book more than 60 days before pick-up. If you book 60 days or less before pick-up, you pay 100% when you book.
- Free cancellation: you get a 100% refund if you cancel more than 21 days before pick-up — including your Flex fee and your travel fee.
- If you cancel close to pick-up: cancelling 21 days or less before pick-up means no refund of your rental price and no refund of your Flex fee. Your travel fee comes back if you cancel more than 48 hours before pick-up. Your booking fee is not refunded.
- Moving or extending your trip: this is possible at any time before pick-up.
- If your new dates cost more: you pay the difference — whenever you rebook.
- If your new dates cost less: we refund the difference if you rebook more than 14 days before pick-up. If you rebook 14 days or less before pick-up, we can't refund the difference.
- Shortening your trip: the days you drop are refunded if you shorten more than 21 days before pick-up. From 21 days before pick-up onwards they aren't refunded.
What happens to each fee
- Rental price — covers your camper and your trip. On the Standard rate it is not refunded; with the Flex option it comes back in full if you cancel more than 21 days before pick-up.
- Booking fee — covers the use of our booking platform. It is not refunded, on either rate, at any point in time.
- Travel fee — covers getting your camper ready for you. It comes back on both rates if you cancel more than 48 hours before pick-up.
- Flex fee — covers your added flexibility. For bookings made on or after 12 November 2025 it comes back only together with a full refund, so only if you cancel more than 21 days before pick-up.
Why does the travel fee come back? It covers getting your camper ready for your trip. In the last 48 hours your camper is already prepped, so we can't refund it any more.
Good to know: Flex has to be selected while you make your booking — it can't be added afterwards. The price of Flex differs slightly depending on the country you book in; you see the exact amount during booking.
Not sure yet whether you really need to cancel? Moving your trip to new dates works at any time and is often the better option — see Moving your trip to later dates.
How to extend your booking
Extending is always possible — you simply pay for the extra days at the price valid on the day you rebook. Add the days in your customer account, and if your camper is already booked by someone else for those dates, our customer service team can look for an alternative with you.
Moving your trip to later dates
If you move your trip to later dates, your cancellation conditions stay as they are at the moment you rebook. They don't reset.
An example: you have Flex on a booking made on or after 12 November 2025 and you rebook 10 days before pick-up to dates 9 months later. Because you rebooked inside the last 21 days, the "no refund" rule stays with your booking. If you cancel later on, you won't get a refund — even though your new trip is still months away.
