What types of damage are generally excluded from Protection Packages?

Protection Packages are designed to cover many types of accidental damage, but there are some situations where coverage does not apply and you may be responsible for the full cost. These exclusions help ensure safe and responsible use of your vehicle. Here are some common examples:

  • Gross Negligence or Intentional Misconduct: If damage occurs due to reckless behavior or on purpose, it is not covered.
  • Specific Excluded Parts: Damage from mishandling to certain parts, such as the awning or roof, is often excluded.
  • Improper Use: Filling the water or fuel tanks incorrectly (for example, putting the wrong liquid in the wrong tank) is not covered.
  • Driving Under the Influence: Any damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is excluded.
  • Non-Permitted Locations: Damage that happens while driving in countries not allowed by your rental agreement, or on roads that are not paved or authorized, is not covered.
