Why was the damage only discovered after the vehicle was returned?

When you return your vehicle, our team performs an initial visual inspection to identify any obvious dirt or violations of our guidelines. However, since many damages are not immediately visible or require more detailed technical checks, we conduct a thorough damage inspection after you have left the station. This can take 24 to 48 hours. By taking our time and exercising great care, we are able to find:

  • Hidden or hard-to-detect damages: Certain areas, such as the underbody or internal mechanical parts, cannot be fully checked during the quick handover.
  • Technical and functional checks: Some issues, like mechanical or electrical defects, only become apparent after special tests or with diagnostic tools.
  • Thorough assessment: After the initial inspection, our experts perform additional checks to ensure the vehicle is safe and in good condition for the next customer. Damages that were not initially visible may be discovered.

All findings are carefully documented, and technical assessments help us determine the timing and cause of the damage. This ensures a fair and transparent process for everyone involved.

Once the inspection is complete, you will receive the return protocol and, if applicable, the documentation and damage invoice.
