🚿Shower and warm water - Liberty Lodge (Winnebago Solis 59PX)

To heat up the water and use the shower in the Liberty Lodge you need to:

  • Switch on the propane first. Make sure you have enough propane in the tank to heat up the van. The propane switch is located on the passenger' side on the bottom of the vehicle. It has a switch that can be flipped OFF and ON:

  • Check the fresh water level. There must be enough water in the tank (above 50% is recommended).
  • Turn on the water pump on the main panel:
  • The boiler must be filled with water. To do that, turn the tap to the hot setting and let the water run briefly.
  • Turn on the boiler on the Truma display following these steps:
  1. To activate the screen, press the black button briefly.
  2. Turn the black button clockwise until you see the symbol with a thermometer under water blinking:
  3. Click on the black button to confirm.
  4. The text "OFF" will appear. Turn the wheel clockwise to select select the mode: ECO (40℃), HOT (60℃) or BOOST.
  5. Once you find the desired mode, press the button to select.
  6. The main menu will appear again and the boiler should be working.
  7. Wait about 20 minutes until the water in the boiler is hot.
  • Use the shower curtain to prevent any water damage to the van.
  • When you are done using the shower, turn off the hot water heater the same way you turned it on.
  • Turn the water pump off (if it is orange, it means it is on, if it is grey the water pump is off). It is always a good idea to turn the water pump off whenever you are not using the sinks or the shower. This way you prevent water damage.

Outdoor shower

You have an outdoor shower in the back of the vehicle. To use it,  plug it into the connection for the on the water tank panel on the back  and turn on the water pump.

To unplug it you press the little ring back in the connector and it will release the outdoor shower. DO NOT forcefully pull out the shower as that leads to damage to the shower hose and the connection port!!

Troubleshooting

Common errors on the Truma display:

E517H // E507H // E516H: The error code appears when the gas supply is interrupted. Turn off the system, turn on the gas, press the black button to confirm that the error has been acknowledged. You may need to reset the appliance and start the process again.

W412H: The error appears when a window is open. This activates the safety pin to prevent exhaust gases from the heater entering the vehicle interior. To allow the exhaust gases to flow again, close the window.

W418H // W411H // W303H // E654H // E566H: The error code appears if the voltage of the camping battery is insufficient.
Check the battery capacity on your on-board display. If the value is below 12.3 V (50%), the battery must be charged before starting the heater.
Repeated unsuccessful restarts of the Truma unit can cause the heater to block.

Once you have identified the error, you must erase it.

You found the cause of the error and fixed it? Great! Some errors disappear by themselves.
Others need to be confirmed by navigating to the black button to the exclamation mark (by turning the black button):

Now press the black button to confirm the error. The symbol should now disappear and the heater can be put back into operation using the familiar steps.

Resetting the Truma unit after an error/warning message. Only ONCE!!!

In some cases, it helps to manually reset the Truma. Try this only once – if you repeatedly reset it without eliminating the cause, the entire system can be permanently disabled.

The Propane switch will only work if you have charged battery in the coach. If you ran out of battery the propane valve will not open as it is a solenoid valve!
