The Liberty Lodge has keyless entry and keyless starting system. If the key is near the vehicle, you can open and lock vehicle by pressing the button on the door handles. The key fob also allows you to open the drivers cabin and the living area separately:
- The top symbol opens the driver’s cabin.
- Symbol below opens the living area.
- The lock symbol will close both areas.
If the vehicle is blinking its headlights fast after locking it, it means a door hasn’t been shut correctly.
It is normal for the vehicles to honk when being locked. You can let the alarm go off by pressing the PANIC button on the key fob. Pressing the PANIC button again will shut the alarm off again.
Be aware: IT IS LOUD and camping neighbors won’t be happy about it. 😊
The car’s ignition can be turned on by simply having the key in the driver’s cabin and pressing the start button. Generally speaking ans especially if you have small kids, you should not leave the key in the driver’s cabin as kids can turn on the vehicle by pressing the start button. Best use the lanyard and keep the keys on you at all times.
Your keys come with a toilet key, the black round key that says Thetford is the key that unlocks the door to the cassette toilet
Locking for the night
There is a lock button in the middle console of the driver’s cabin. Press it to lock the van when you are inside. Be aware that even when the van is locked, you will be able to open the side door from the inside for emergency reasons.
