💧 Fresh water and waste water / grey water - Horizon Hopper (Winnebago Revel 44E)

The Horizon Hopper has a water system that provides running water to the shower and sinks. The used water then runs into the waste water (also called gray water) tank.

Water levels

In the Horizon Hopper you can check the level of the fresh water und gray water using on the board unit behind the back seat.

Press the button "Tank Level":

Fresh water

To fill the freshwater tank open the back door.

Screw the hose (stored in the back left storage compartment in the rear of the vehicle) into the white hose outlet of the "more way" water installation. Once it is plugged, set the 4 colorful levers according to the diagram on the water unit.

CityFill = permanent water supply, e.g. at the campground

Wait AT THE VAN while filling it. Make sure you do not leave the van and overfill the tank by a lot as the water will flow out into the van causing water damage if being excessively overfilled.

Don't forget to put the levers back to "DryCamping" after filling so that you can use the water in the camper.

Attention: the fresh water is not drinking water.

To empty=open or close the fresh water tank, open the sliding door, you will see three valves directly above the access aid on the kitchen block.

Remember to close it again once the water tank is empty.

Gray water

The gray water tank is located on the driver's side at the rear of the vehicle:

  1. Unscrew the black screw cap and attach the drain hose, which is located underneath the car (rear side) and hang it in the emptying pit.

  2. Now pull the grey lever and wait until the tank is completely empty.

  3. Next you can take set the 4 levers onto the "SIPHON=SANITIZE" setting and turn on the water. This will flush out any remainders left in the tank out of the sewer hose.
  4. Once you are done flushing you will want to make sure the gray lever is closed again and store the cleaned hose back in the box. 

Please make sure the grey water is emptied before returning the vehicle to the station.
