💧 Water tap and sink - Camper Castle (Bürstner Limited T)

The taps in the kitchen and bathroom work with water from the freshwater tank. In the kitchen make sure you remove the sink cover before using the kitchen tap.

Make sure you have enough water in the tank and activate the water pump. Be careful, a pump that runs without water can break down!

You can check the levels of the tank on the control panel. Press the on/off button to start the panel and then the top right button to see the percentage of the water level.

To use the water, switch on the water pump on the control panel (symbol with a tap, on the right side of the panel). When it is on, it will light up. Remember to switch it off again when you are no longer using it.

The used water flows into the waste water tank. Remember to empty the grey water tank when the onboard unit indicates that it is full.

If you want to do a warm rinse, see how to do it here.

Please note the following

  • The sink is not suitable for washing up coarse food scraps, as this can cause odours to develop. In addition, the drain can easily clog.
  • Close the taps carefully so that the pump does not run continuously.
  • If odours develop, empty the waste water tank more often and rinse with biodegradable drain cleaner or vinegar and baking soda.

Troubleshooting

Is water leaking from under the car, is there no water flowing at all, or is the pump running continuously? We have summarised possible solutions for you below in the article Fresh water and waste water -Camper Castle (Bürstner Limited T)

If the fuse of the water pump is damaged you need to change it. The fuse box is located under the driver's seat, under a cover on the front of the seat. The fuse for the water pump (5A) is located at position 16.

Before any fuse is pulled, following safety measures is required:

  1. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
  2. Unplug the car from any external power supply.
  3. Pull carefully on the fuse by pulling from the sides.
  4. A damaged fuse can be burnt or have the connector broken (see picture). If so, please replace it. You can find them at petrol stations and hardware stores.
