The fresh water tank (100 L) is located on the driver's side and serves the washbasin, toilet and indoor/outdoor shower. To open it, you need the medium-sized key. Insert the key into the lock and turn it to open. When you open the service door, the water tank becomes visible. To fill it, unscrew the blue cap (not the red one!).
The fresh water tank can be filled using a canister with an attachment or a hose. Please make sure that the fresh water and waste water tanks are closed. They may still be open from the previous rental.
To empty/open or close the fresh water tank, turn the grey lever next to the tank:
Caution: Fresh water is not drinking water
Please pay attention to the permissible carrying weight. Be sure to empty the water tank if the weight in the camper (including equipment and travellers) exceeds the permitted carrying weight.
Waste water
The waste water tank (93L) is located under the camper on the driver's side. The lever for emptying the grey water tank is next to the lever for the fresh water tank. It is marked with a brown sticker at the bottom. To open it, simply turn the lever and drop the water onto the emptying station.
You can see the levels of the fresh and waste water tanks in the on-board unit:

Troubleshooting
Water leaking under the vehicle
If water leaks under the vehicle, this can have various causes:
- Please check if the levers of both tanks are closed.
- The cold protection valve may be open. The frost protection valve is also located next to the water tanks:
The cold protection (or anti freeze) valve automatically drains the boiler when there is a risk of frost. This prevents the drain from freezing.Â
The system measures the temperature inside the van. As soon as it is around 3 degrees or lower the system is activated and lets all the water that was in the boiler and the fresh water tank out. To deactivate the system, the room temperature has to be a least 7 degrees, otherwise the blue button will jump out again.
To ensure that the water supply continues to function and the valve is switched on, the blue lever must be turned clockwise and then the blue button must be pressed in.
No water flows
If you turn on the tap but no water flows, this can have several reasons:
-
First check the fill level on the on-board unit to see if the fresh water tank is sufficiently full.
There should be at least 20 liters of water in the fresh water tank so that the pump is completely covered with water and filled so that it automatically unlocks after running dry!
- Make sure that the water pump on the on-board computer is switched on.
- Check that the water pump is connected correctly. Open the water tank carefully. If there is water in the tank, make sure that the water level is below the red cap, otherwise all the water will run out. To open, turn the red lid and check that the water pump is connected to all hoses and is submerged. Make sure that you close the lid properly afterwards, otherwise the water could flow out.
- The fuse of the water pump or the tank sensors may be damaged.
Before any fuse is pulled, following safety measures is required:
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
- Unplug the car from any external power supply.
- Pull carefully on the fuse by pulling from the sides.
- A damaged fuse can be burnt or have the connector broken (see picture). If so, please replace it. You can find them at petrol stations and hardware stores.Â
The fuses we are looking for are on the back seat where the seat belts are. If you lift the lower part, you will see a box with different fuses. The fuse we are looking for is a 10A fuse (there is a tap symbol directly under the fuse):
Only one of two water taps is working?
If the water pump does not activate when you turn on the tap, the micro-switch on the tap lever is probably defective.
To still put the water pump in the ready state, follow these steps:
- Test the other tap (e.g. kitchen or bathroom).
- If another tap works, open it just a little so that you can hear the water pump, but no water flows.
- Now open the tap with the defective micro switch. The water should now run.
Attention: Don't forget to close both taps completely afterwards!
