🔑 Keys & locking the vehicle - Cozy Cottage (Knaus VAN TI PLUS)

When you pick up your camper, Roadsurfer will give you three keys, provided that a bike rack can be booked for this model and you have booked one. Otherwise, you will receive two keys. The large key is of course for locking and unlocking your camper. The middle key is for the fresh water tank, etc., and the smallest key is for the bike rack, if you have booked one.

Please note the following:

  • Always keep the keys together on the key ring.
  • Never leave the keys in the ignition when the vehicle is stationary. Otherwise the starter battery will discharge!
  • Always carry the key ring with you (this is why we provide you with a lanyard, so that you can wear it around your neck) and never leave it in the car; the car could lock automatically!

Locking the Living Area

Please note that the door to the rear living area does not work with the vehicle's central locking system. You must lock it manually with the middle key or from the inside with the corresponding button on the door.

Locking from Inside

In addition to the key, you will find a central locking button for the front doors on the driver's side, so that no one can enter (e.g., when you are at a red light or at night):

If you use this, be aware that no one can enter to rescue the passengers in an emergency!

There is no child lock here.

Locking from Inside

You can also lock the car from inside, for example, at the traffic lights or for the night. To lock the front doors, either press the corresponding button on the large key or the button with the "lock" symbol in the centre console:

If you use this while driving, be aware that no one can enter to rescue the passengers in an emergency!
