Customer account - Check the status of the deposit

You must pay the deposit during the pick up of your vehicle. As soon as you have collected your car, the deposit status will appear in the booking overview in your customer account:

Deposit release

If no damage is detected during your return, the deposit will be released instantly after the return is completed.

If a damage is detected during your return, it takes up to 14 days for the damage team to review the damage and possibly send you an invoice.

At the latest, 30 days after return, the deposit will be released.

Once the deposit is released, the status in your customer account will update accordingly:

Note: Deposits paid via credit card will be blocked and later unblocked by the bank and not shown as -/+ in your bank account. When you have paid the deposit via EC card (only in Germany), it needs to be transferred manually and will take a few days to arrive back in your bank accout.
