🚿 Warm water and shower - Couple Cottage (Knaus Boxlife 600)

To have a hot shower in the Couple Cottage, the water level must first be checked and the water pump (tap symbol) on the on-board unit on the right activated:

The boiler and heating are controlled via the Truma unit above the refrigerator. The Truma unit is operated with diesel. The tank must be at least 1/3 full.

The boiler must be filled with water. To do this, turn the water tap to "warm" and let the water run briefly (approx. 2 minutes).

Switch on the boiler with these steps on the Truma display:

  1. To activate the screen, press the black button briefly.
  2. Turn the black button clockwise until you see the symbol with a thermometer under water blinking:
  3. Click on the black button to confirm.
  4. The text "OFF" will appear. Turn the wheel clockwise to select select the mode: ECO (40℃), HOT (60℃) or BOOST.
  5. Once you find the desired mode, press the button to select.
  6. The main menu will appear again and the boiler should be working.
  7. Wait about 20 minutes until the water in the boiler is hot.

Caution: the boiler works independently of the parking heater and consumes fuel, so please make sure the diesel tank is full.

To prepare for the shower, extend the shower curtain to cover the bathroom walls while you shower:

Troubleshooting

If the heater does not work, check the Truma unit for error codes. The most common is:

W412H: The error occurs when a window is opened. This activates the safety pin that prevents exhaust gases from the heater from entering the vehicle interior. For it to work again, the window must be closed and the error in the unit cleared by resetting the warning.

You found the cause of the error and fixed it? Great! Some errors disappear by themselves.
Others need to be confirmed by navigating to the black button to the exclamation mark (by turning the black button):

Now press the black button to confirm the error. The symbol should now disappear and the heater can be put back into operation using the familiar steps.

Resetting the Truma unit after an error/warning message. Only ONCE!!!

In some cases, it helps to manually reset the Truma. Try this only once – if you repeatedly reset it without eliminating the cause, the entire system can be permanently disabled.
