💧 Fresh water and waste water / grey water - Sunrise Suite (VW New California)

The fresh water tank (29L) in the Sunrise Suite is located in the trunk of the vehicle.
To fill the water tank, the drain must be closed.

1. Open the trunk door and look for the blue screw cap on the driver's side:
   
2. Open the blue screw cap:
   
3. Fill the fresh water tank using the water gallon in the vehicle or a hose on a fresh water station/pipe.

Attention: The fresh water is not drinking water!

1. Open the cabinet door in the driver's side of the trunk:
   
2. Remove both bottom plates:
   
3. Remove the outside shower and its mounting:
   
4. Turn the black valve anticlockwise to empty the fresh water tank or clockwise to close the fresh water drain (see marked sticker):
   

The waste water tank (22L) in the Sunrise Suite is located in the kitchen area of the vehicle.

1. Open the compartment under the cooking field.
   
2. Remove both bottom plates:
   
3. Turn the black valve anticlockwise to empty the waste water tank or clockwise to close the waste water drain (see marked sticker):
   

Attention: Only empty your waste water at designated emptying areas.

1. Generally check whether the water pump switch of the outdoor shower has been accidentally activated.
2. For the gold-colored connections of the outdoor shower, check whether the hose coupling is really closed after disconnecting the hose.

If the hose coupling is open, push the golden ring backwards (as if you were detaching the shower hose from the coupling) and the coupling should close again.

To be checked step by step

1. Check the charge level of the camping battery. 
   Press and hold the marked button on the board computer (passenger side next to the sliding door) until it activates:
   
   The camping battery level is displayed in the marked area on the home screen (It should always be in the green area):
   
2. There should be at least 20 liters of water in the fresh water tank so that the pump is completely covered with water and filled so that it automatically unlocks after running dry!
3. Open the tap and listen for the water pump. (Can you hear a water pump / is it making strange noises?) -An example video can be found at the bottom of this article.-
4. Activate the outdoor shower's water pump switch and check whether the water pump can be activated in this way. In this case, the water pump can be activated using the outdoor shower switch and can also be used at the tap in the kitchen. Remember to deactivate the water pump after use!)
5. Check the fuse -> Open the marked drawer (this is easiest with the seat folded down and the bed made):
   
6. Remove the bottom plate:
   
7. Check the marked fuse and replace it if necessary:
