The refrigerator (133 l) in the Camper Castle is equipped with a small freezer compartment and can be operated via battery, gas or external power.
To turn it on, press the on/off button for a few seconds until the lights come on.
You can select the temperature by pressing the thermometer button. We recommend level 3 (7°-8°C).
To open the refrigerator, first slide the safety pins at the top and bottom to the right. Make sure they are closed again when driving.
You can switch between power sources by pressing the "Mode" button:
Operating Mode
The refrigerator can be operated with electric power or gas. The following modes are available:
- Auto = we recommend this, as the device will then automatically select the most efficient operating mode
- Battery symbol = operation via the camping battery. Only works on the road when the engine is running.
- Flame symbol = operation via gas, when you do not have access to an external power source. Please do not use this mode while driving, as the gas bottles must be closed during the journey.
- Plug symbol = operation via external power. The perfect solution when you are connected to an external power source.
If you select "Auto" or "Flame=Gas", open the gas bottle and set the right shut-off valve "Snowflake" in the drawer under the sink to vertical:

Be a little patient 🥰
Please be aware that it may take a few hours until the fridge is fully cooled down! The warmer the environment is and the more food you put in, the longer it may take.
You can speed up the cooling process by:
- putting food in, that already comes from a fridge
- adding cool-packs/ice-packs
Troubleshooting
If the refrigerator is not working as it should, there are a few things you can do to get it working again:
- Check if the gas bottle is open and filled.
- Press the black button on the gas connection until it clicks:
- Check if the grey valve in the cupboard under the sink is open = vertical.
- Check if the crash sensor is activated. The crash sensor is a yellow pin on a black device next to the gas bottle. If it is protruding from the device, it means it is activated. Press it back in to reactivate the gas flow:
- If that doesn't help and the refrigerator keeps beeping, there may still be air in the lines. Solution: Let some gas flow through the pipes. To do this, open both hobs and turn on the flames.
- Then hold down the refrigerator's power button for a few seconds.
- You may need to repeat the steps several times in a row. After that, the beeping should stop and the refrigerator should work.
- If the refrigerator still does not work, try selecting a different cooling mode.
