To have hot water in the Van Villa, the water level must be checked and the water pump activated on the unit:
The boiler and heater are operated by the Truma unit on the cupboard next to the entrance door. The Truma unit runs on diesel. The tank must be at least 1/3 full.
The boiler must be filled with water. To do this, turn the tap to "warm" and let the water run briefly.
Turn on the boiler on the Truma display following these steps:
- To activate the screen, press the black button briefly.
- Turn the black button clockwise until you see the symbol with a thermometer under water blinking:
- Click on the black button to confirm.
- The text "OFF" will appear. Turn the wheel clockwise to select select the mode: ECO (40℃), HOT (60℃) or BOOST.
- Once you find the desired mode, press the button to select.
- The main menu will appear again and the boiler should be working.
- Wait about 20 minutes until the water in the boiler is hot.

- Pull the handle upwards and watch the shower slide all the way up.
- As soon as you are ready to shower, open the plastic doors on the side walls. These prevent the water from splashing out:
To close the shower:
- Make sure the walls are dry.
- Close and secure the plastic doors on the side.
- Release the black lever under the mirror and pull the shower down.
- Make sure the shower head or doors are properly stowed so they are not in the way.

Troubleshooting
If the heater is not working, check the Truma unit for fault codes. The most common is:
W412H: The error occurs when a window is opened. This activates the safety pin that prevents exhaust gases from the heater from entering the vehicle interior. For it to work again, the window must be closed and the error in the unit cleared by resetting the warning.
You found the cause of the error and fixed it? Great! Some errors disappear by themselves.
Others need to be confirmed by navigating to the black button to the exclamation mark (by turning the black button):
Now press the black button to confirm the error. The symbol should now disappear and the heater can be put back into operation using the familiar steps.
Resetting the Truma unit after an error/warning message. Only ONCE!!!
In some cases, it helps to manually reset the Truma. Try this only once – if you repeatedly reset it without eliminating the cause, the entire system can be permanently disabled.
