The Couple Condo has a water system that provides running water to the shower and two sinks. The used water then runs into the waste water (also called grey water) tank.
Water levels
In the Couple Condo you can check the level of the fresh, gray water and black water (from the toilet) by pressing the button "Tank Level" on the One Place control panel:
If the letter "E" is displayed, it means that the tank is empty.
Fresh water
To fill the freshwater tank open the back door in the rear driver’ side of the vehicle and then screw the hose (stored in the back left storage compartment in the rear of the vehicle) into the white hose outlet. Once it is plugged, either use the fresh water hose we provide or use the one provided by the campground (whichever you prefer).
Set the 4 colorful levers to "PowerFill" Tank according to the diagram on the water unit (white and blue pointing down, red pointing up and green pointing towards the left):Â
Wait AT THE VAN while filling it. Make sure you do not leave the van and overfill the tank by a lot as the water will flow out into the van causing water damage if being excessively overfilled.
Once you notice water flowing out underneath the vehicle turn of water right away. It is normal for it to drip a little bit and some water loss on the road while driving and when it is filled to the brim as it has an overflow protection.Â
- CITY FILL = Permanent water supply, e.g. on a campsite
- POWER FILL TANK = Tank filling
- Don't forget to put the levers back in the "DRY CAMPING" position after filling so that you can use the water in the tank.
Attention:Â the fresh water is not drinking water.
To empty=open the fresh water tank, you will find the valve behind the small wooden flap under the rear seat next to the fridge:
It is the valve on the blue pipe labelled "FRESH WATER DRAIN":
Remember to close it again once the water tank is empty.
Grey water
The grey and black water in this vehicle come out of the same opening. The opening is on the driver’s side in the very back of the vehicle underneath the vehicle.
- First remove the sewer hose from the sewer hose storage on the underside of the vehicle.
- Take the whole hose out and take it to the back of the vehicle.
- Remove the cover of the grey and black water release opening.
-
Attach the hose to that opening (turn it till it is secure on the opening). Now put the other end of the hose wherever you want the gray and black water to go.
- Pull the levers in the back.
VERY IMPORTANT: always pull the BLACK lever first. That will release black water (everything from the toilet).
After that tank has drained, close the black lever and then pull the GRAY lever next. That way the gray water will already help flush out the hose. - Next you can take the hose and put it into the black hose receiver in the back of the vehicle and set the 4 levers onto the "SANITIZE" setting and turn on the water. This will flush out any remainders left in the tank out of the sewer hose.
- Once you are done flushing you will want to make sure both the black and the gray lever are closed again and store the hose back in the box. Please make sure the box is latched properly to make sure it does not open while driving. Otherwise you could loose the hose!
Please make sure the grey water is emptied before returning the vehicle to the station.
