The fridge with a small freezer compartment is located at the front end of the kitchenette:
To switch on/off, hold the On/Off button at the top of the fridge for about 5 seconds until the lights come on. Then use the snowflake symbol to set the desired cooling level (9°C to 1°C). We recommend level 3.
Don’t worry if the five lights come on when you open the fridge. This just helps you see the inside of the fridge better. To check the set level, press the snowflake once to display the current level.
On the right side, there is another button to change the cooling mode: a small snowflake "Boost" and a moon "Night mode".
- With Boost, the fridge cools much faster but also uses more battery.
- Night mode makes the fridge a bit quieter for 8 hours.
If the fridge temperature changes to maximum by itself, the "Boost" option may be selected.
You can use the buttons in the fridge just like with the horizontal display. Or you can operate it directly via the display:
- Press the Home button to open the menu:
- Press the "Cool box" symbol:
- Switch on the cool box using the slider. Then select the cooling level – we recommend level 2-3:
Watch it in the video:
Be a little patient 🥰
Please be aware that it may take a few hours until the fridge is fully cooled down! The warmer the environment is and the more food you put in, the longer it may take.
You can speed up the cooling process by:
- putting food in, that already comes from a fridge
- adding cool-packs/ice-packs
Troubleshooting
An error always starts with 5x fast flashing of the LEDs. Then the error code is indicated by long flashing. The refrigerator has different error codes. These are the most common ones:
- LED flashes 1x: Battery error - The power supply to the refrigerator is insufficient. Check the charge level of the camping battery, charge it if necessary or try operation via an external power source.
- LED flashes 5x: Refrigerator overheats - This can happen at extremely high outdoor temperatures. In this case, open doors and windows and find a shady spot if possible.
What you should always check in the event of a malfunction:
- Charging status of the camping battery - Charge it if necessary or try operating it from an external power source.
- Main battery switch - Check that it is switched on, otherwise the living area is not supplied with power.
- The fuse box is located in the left cupboard under the bed. Check and replace if necessary this 15A fuse (second from the right):
Before any fuse is pulled, following safety measures is required:
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
- Unplug the car from any external power supply.
- Pull carefully on the fuse by pulling from the sides.
- A damaged fuse can be burnt or have the connector broken (see picture). If so, please replace it. You can find them at petrol stations and hardware stores.
Food freezes in the lower refrigeration compartment
When this happens, the partition between the ice compartment above and the refrigeration area below is usually not inserted correctly. This allows the ice-cold air from the top to reach the bottom and freeze food and drinks unintentionally. Check whether this white tray below the ice compartment protrudes like this:
If it does, carefully slide the partition towards the back wall until it is flush:
