💧 Water leaking under the camper and cold protection valve - (UK) Cozy Cottage (Bürstner Lyseo)

If water is leaking from under the vehicle, this can have various causes:

  • Please check whether the levers of both tanks are closed.
  • It is possible that the cold protection valve is open. The cold protection valve automatically drains the boiler if there is a risk of frost. If the temperature in the van falls below approx. 7°C, the valve opens automatically. This prevents the drain from freezing up. It is located in the service flap on the passenger side:frostschutz.jpg

The cold protection (or anti freeze) valve automatically drains the boiler when there is a risk of frost. This prevents the drain from freezing.

The system measures the temperature inside the van. As soon as it is around 3 degrees or lower the system is activated and lets all the water that was in the boiler and the fresh water tank out. To deactivate the system, the room temperature has to be a least 7 degrees, otherwise the blue button will jump out again.

To ensure that the water supply continues to function and the valve is switched on, the blue lever must be turned clockwise and then the blue button must be pressed in.

  • It is also possible that the boiler valve is open by mistake. You will find this directly next to the cold protection valve. Make sure that the yellow lever is turned as shown in the picture:boiler entleerung.jpg
