To ensure that all 12V electronic devices work without external power, the camping battery voltage should never fall below 12V (50%).
To use any kind of power in the Horizon Hopper the camping battery in the trunk needs to be switched on:
You can check the battery level on the board unit:

Be careful
The lights only work if you have a charged battery. So make sure the van is charged and good to go.
Make sure you don’t leave the lights in the driver’s cabin on as they will drain the vehicle battery - not the camper lithium battery and you might be unable to start the camper!
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with the sockets on the Horizon Hopper, check the following things:
- You are either connected to an external power source
-
Or your inverter is on. To turn on the inverter, follow these steps:
- Open the rear doors. There, you will find a rotary switch (on the driver's side). This is the main switch for the inverter:
- Also check the ON/OFF button on the panel above the back seat:
- While you are using the inverter, make sure that your camping battery is sufficiently charged (50%)!
- Should the inverter not be working, please check if it the inverter itself is also ON. To do that, go to the back of the car and lift the cover below the left side bed:
- The inverter is a white box on the right hand side. If the lights on the inverter are off, switch off the battery on your left. To do so, find the blue button on the top of the battery. Press it until the light goes off, wait for about 5 seconds and then press it back on again. The lights in the inverter box should be working again.
Fuses to check when having "power regulator" issues:
- Open the rear doors. There, you will find a rotary switch (on the driver's side). This is the main switch for the inverter:
Before any fuse is pulled, following safety measures is required:
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
- Unplug the car from any external power supply.
- Pull carefully on the fuse by pulling from the sides.
- A damaged fuse can be burnt or have the connector broken (see picture). If so, please replace it. You can find them at petrol stations and hardware stores.
- Open the marked cover in the trunk of the vehicle:
- Check battery fuse:
- Check harness fuse:
- Check regulator fuse:
- See the explanation on this video:
