Where do I need a warning sign on my bike rack?

For the following countries, the attachment of a warning sign is mandatory if the load protrudes over the rear of the vehicle

  • Italy (Since January 2024, the warning sign is mandatory again. This may change again in the course of the year)
  • Spain
  • Portugal

This also applies to rear carriers with repeat licence plates. Accordingly, you need a warning sign for the bike carrier on your camper, with or without a load. This should be made of sheet metal, measure at least 50 x 50 centimetres and be hatched in red and white:

We have warning signs in stock at our stations. Most vehicles are already equipped with them. If you are planning to travel to one of the countries mentioned, make sure that a warning sign is present when you pick up your vehicle. If it is missing, ask locally and we will be happy to provide you with a warning sign free of charge. We equip the sign with reusable cable ties so that you can easily attach and remove it as required.

NOTE: Please inform yourself about the exact regulations and the correct attachment of the warning sign.
