♨️ Heating - Camper Castle (LMC Tourer Lift)

Our Camper Castle is equipped with a stationary heater that operates on either gas or diesel, depending on the model. Here’s how to use it:

Camper Castle LMC (Fiat/Citroen)
  • Open the gas bottle. You will find the bottle in the designated gas compartment outside the vehicle on the driver’s side.
  • Then additionally turn on the lower safety lever for the heater (horizontal). The lever is located behind the flap below the stove.

  • Keep the windows and doors closed while heating.

The heater is controlled via the Truma unit above the door:

  • Turn the outer dial to the flame symbol.
  • Turn the inner dials to the desired level (1-5). The green light indicates which level is set.

  • If you want to use the heater and hot water simultaneously, select the lower symbol with the flame and wave/60° on the outer dial.

Attention: The heater outlets must not be blocked!

Troubleshooting

  • The light in the Truma unit lights up orange when an error occurs.
  • Check if gas is generally flowing by, for example, turning on the stove.
  • Make sure the safety lever for the boiler (see above) is open.
  • Make sure the windows in the living area are closed. They are equipped with a sensor to prevent exhaust gases from the heater from entering the vehicle. To allow the gas to flow again, close the window, clear the error on the Truma unit by briefly turning it off, and restart the process.
  • If the on-board unit cannot be switched on, you can restart it. Press the black rotary knob for 20-30 seconds until the "on/off" light comes on.

  • The Truma system is operated with diesel. The tank must be at least 1/3 full.
  • Keep the windows and doors closed while heating.

The heater is controlled via the Truma unit above the door:

  • Turn the outer dial to the flame symbol.
  • Turn the inner dials to the desired level (1-5). The green light indicates which level is set.

Troubleshooting

  • The light in the Truma unit lights up orange when an error occurs.
  • Check if you have enough diesel in the tank for the heater to start.
  • Make sure the windows in the living area are closed. They are equipped with a sensor to prevent exhaust gases from the heater from entering the vehicle. Close the window, clear the error on the Truma unit by briefly turning it off, and restart the process.

The heating consumes a lot of electricity. Please note therefore:

  • You can heat self-sufficiently for 1 night.
  • If you switch off heavy consumers (such as the refrigerator) overnight, the operating time is extended to 2 nights.
  • Danger of switch-off: Check in the evening whether the camping battery has at least 12.3 V (50%) voltage. If the heater does not have enough voltage and you start it several times in vain, the system will lock completely for safety reasons and can only be unlocked by a Truma workshop. If this situation applies or you are unsure, please use the Contact section so we can guide you in the best possible way.
