Some of our Cozy Cottages have air suspension. This is not only for driving comfort, but can also be used to a certain extent for levelling.
You can think of it as two balloons, one on the left and one on the right of the axle, which function as a suspension spring. Both air bellows are separate from each other, so you can control them independently. This is done by a compressor that fills the bellows with air. The more air in the bellows, the higher the vehicle will go.
The basic setting is completely individual. Theoretically, you can also drive with 0Bar in the bellows. However, this is neither good for comfort nor for the shock absorber. Therefore we recommend 1.5 to 2 bar for driving.
The adjustment is very simple. You have two switches at the front of the dashboard - to the right of the gear knob: left is for bellows on the left side of the vehicle and right is the right switch. You can control both air bellows independently, but you should make sure that there is about the same amount of air in both bellows while driving. Simply fill and empty them with the switch: up is fill and down is empty.
When stationary, you can level your vehicle to a certain extent by adding more air to the bellows on the side where you are standing lower. However, if the difference is very large, we recommend using the ramp wedges.
