The refrigerator (142 L) with a small freezer compartment is located on the left in the corridor towards the sleeping area.
- To turn on/off, hold the On/Off button at the top left for about 5 seconds until the lights come on:
- Press and hold the white square to set the cooling level and mode. When the lights blink, navigate with the arrow keys to the desired mode (explanation below). Confirm by tapping the white square.
- Now set the cooling level. We recommend level 3 for normal operation. Confirm by pressing the square again.
Operating Mode
The refrigerator can be operated with electric power or gas. The following modes are available:
- A = Auto - we recommend this as the device will automatically select the most efficient operating mode
- Plug symbol = operation via external power. The perfect solution when you are connected to an external power source.
- Battery symbol = operation via the camping battery. Only works on the go when the engine is running.
- Flame = operation via gas when you do not have access to an external power source. Please do not use this mode while driving, as the gas bottles must be closed during the journey.
If you select "A" or "Flame=Gas", open the gas bottle and set the right shut-off valve "Snowflake" in the drawer under the sink to vertical:
To get the freezer compartment cold enough, the vehicle must be connected to external power!
Watch it in the video:
Be a little patient 🥰
Please be aware that it may take a few hours until the fridge is fully cooled down! The warmer the environment is and the more food you put in, the longer it may take.
You can speed up the cooling process by:
- putting food in, that already comes from a fridge
- adding cool-packs/ice-packs
Troubleshooting
What you should always check in case of malfunction (blinking and red light):
- Charge level of the camping battery - charge it if necessary or try operating via an external power source.
- Main battery switch - check if it is turned on, otherwise the living area is not supplied with power.
- When operating via an external power source: check if the RCD switch is turned on.
- When operating in automatic mode or via gas: check if the gas bottle and the grey shut-off valve in the kitchen drawer are open. If no gas flows, press the black button on the gas bottle valve longer.
- The fuse box is located on the driver's side in the boot. Check and replace this 20A fuse if necessary:
Before any fuse is pulled, following safety measures is required:
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
- Unplug the car from any external power supply.
- Pull carefully on the fuse by pulling from the sides.
- A damaged fuse can be burnt or have the connector broken (see picture). If so, please replace it. You can find them at petrol stations and hardware stores.
