You receive a filled 5-gallon propane tank attached to the Liberty Lodge. Unlike in Europe, it is not a removable bottle but a built-in tank underneath the vehicle.
A refill is normally around 25$. You can get that refill at most campgrounds and some gas station. A quick google maps search or looking here will normally tell you the closest fill station.
You are not allowed to fill the propane tank yourself as in the US you need a permit to be able to refill. The people from either the campground or gas station always do it for you. 😊 You just need to tell them to fill it up all the way and they will take care of the rest.
Also make sure to return your roadsurfer with a filled up propane tank. Otherwise we have to charge you a fee to refill it.
