To cook in the Liberty Lodge you need to:
- Switch on the propane (LP) first. The propane switch is located on the driver’s side on the bottom of the vehicle. It has a switch that can be flipped OFF and ON, if you switch it on normally it illuminates red.
- Press and turn the button on the stove and simultaneously press the little silver button, which will ignite the propane:
- Then you can adjust the flame as needed for your cooking.
- Important: Please do not put the French press from your kitchen box straight on the fire!
- Make sure before driving or when not in use to switch off the propane on the outside of the vehicle!

Lighting the gas stove can sometimes take several attempts and/or seconds.
This is because when the gas pipe is empty, it must first fill up completely before gas can escape from the stove.
It is quite normal to smell a slight odor of gas before the stove ignites.
