Loud beeping - Travel Home (Mercedes Marco Polo)

The Mercedes Marco Polo beeps if the sensors are not correctly aligned when the roof is closed. The vehicle emits beeping warning signals when starting. Unfortunately, the sensors of the pop-up roof in the Mercedes are somewhat sensitive. Before you proceed, check the following:

  • One possibility is that there is dirt or leaves in the rails at the top.
  • The rubber nipples on the outside of the roof must be straight
  • The car must be level
  • Check if there is something on the seats that could be activating the warning for the seat belt

Normally this can be fixed by opening and closing the roof again (without tilting and with the door open).

If it still does not stop, the reset button can be pressed. Unfortunately, this button is very well hidden by the manufacturer. It is located in the left-hand cupboard in the kitchen area, at the very bottom, on the left-hand side of the opening next to the waste water lever.
