The gas bottle (2.8kg) is in the rear cupboard at the back left in the lowest compartment (lift the cover and screw on the white lid).
For cooking:
- Turn on the gas bottle in the rear.
- Also open the grey lever below the refrigerator, behind the inner table on the side of the rear seat
- Turn on the gas on the cooker and ignite it with the black knob.
Small tip when cooking: Retract the window blinds and provide ventilation.
Attention
After cooking and especially when driving, be sure to close the shut-off taps and the gas bottle!
Please also note that, for safety reasons, the gas compartment must not be used as a storage space.
Troubleshooting
No gas flows
If no gas flows into the kitchen:
- Make sure that the gas bottle contains enough gas.
- The gas bottle should be fully open
- The grey lever between the kitchen and the back wall is open (horizontal position)
The flame of the gas cooker keeps going out
If the flame on the gas cooker of the Travel Home keeps going out, even when the button is pressed for a longer time, the problem may be with the valve. Here is a trick to fix the problem:
- Make sure there is enough gas in the bottle.
- In the kitchen, pull off the knob
- Push down the pin
- Add a few drops of oil (olive oil or similar) and press the knob several times.
- Put the knob back on
The flame should now be burning again.
Lighting the gas stove can sometimes take several attempts and/or seconds.
This is because when the gas pipe is empty, it must first fill up completely before gas can escape from the stove.
It is quite normal to smell a slight odor of gas before the stove ignites.
