🛏️ The pop-up roof - Camper Cabin (Ford Nugget)

The roof of the Camper Cabin can be opened manually. There are slight differences between the individual models. So check which model you are driving and then select the correct instructions from the dropdown menus:

  4. A ladder stored in the rear wardrobe makes it easier to climb up.

Close the roof

  1. Open the windows or a door to reduce the pressure
  2. Pull the bed down and make sure nothing is left on it.
  3. Unlock the right gas spring. To do this, press the tent on the passenger side in the marked area in the picture:

  4. At the same time, pull the pop-up roof down with the strap. Be careful, because at some point the roof will no longer be held by the gas springs and can fall on your head!
  5. Close it to about 20 cm and then pull the tent inside.
  6. Check from the outside whether the tent is trapped between the roof and the vehicle. If so, lift the roof slightly and push the protruding tent inside.
  7. Roll up the fabric, close the roof lock: Hook in the hook (2) and swing the handle all the way down to lock it.

Please note the following:

  • Never drive with the roof open!
  • When raising and lowering the pop-up roof, always open a window or door to equalize the pressure!
  • When lowering the roof, always check that nothing is left on the mattress, the roof bed is down, the zippers of the roof windows are closed, and the bellows fabric is not trapped in the tabs or sticking out of the vehicle.
  • Make sure the tent is dry before closing it to prevent mold from forming.
