Your camper is equipped with a generator that generates electricity from gasoline - so that you can use electricity in your camper also when not being connected to an external power supply.
Charging via generator
- Check the fuel level next to the speedometer (the fuel is drawn from the normal vehicle tank):
- Go to the board unit next to the entrance door and start the generator:
- Alternatively operate the generator via the remote on your key chain:
Please note the following!
- The generator only works, if at least 1/3 of the gas tank is full!
- It consumes about 4 liters of gasoline per hour.
- Please be aware that you can run out of gasoline, if you use it extensively - you could be stranded then!
- Never use generator while sleeping, as you would not notice if exhaust gases where entering the vehicle.
- Please use it wisely - for the sake of the environment and your wallet!
Troubleshooting
If the generator does not work, please find the green box under the rear of the vehicle:
Turn the small turn knob so that it points to "open":
Now you can remove the flap:
Behind it is a fuse. When that is on OFF, the generator cannot access the power circuit in the van and so does not generate power for the van. You just have to switch the breaker to ON, then put the cover back on and close it. Now turn the generator on from the inside, wait 1 minute and then the electricity should work again.
Before any fuse is moved, following safety measures is required:
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
- Unplug the car from any external power supply.
