The roof of the Road House opens manually:
Opening the roof
- Release the black tension straps on the left and right of the front part of the roof to unlock it.
- Then flip the butterfly-shaped metal handle upward and turn it to release the hooks. Do this on both sides of the bed.
- Push the roof up and let it open all by itself.
- Attach the ladder to its dedicated hooks. The ladder is found in the small shelf compartment above the cockpit.
There is a safety net under the top mattress that can be attached to prevent objects and small children from falling down. Attach the safety net with the clips that are attached to the net and the roof.
Closing the roof
- To close the roof, make sure that the tent fabric is closed completely and the window in the roof is closed. Also, make sure that nothing is lying on the mattress.
- Deattach the safety net and place it back under the bed.
- Climb up the ladder and pull down from the hanging black straps to close the roof.
- Make sure that the tent fabric does not stick out on the outside or get pinched.
- Stow the ladder back in its compartment above the cockpit.
- Attach the metal hook and secure it with the butterfly mechanism, then close the black straps on the side.
Please note the following:
- Never drive with an open roof!
- When retracting and extending the high roof, always open the window or door to equalise the pressure!
- When retracting the roof, always check that nothing is lying on the mattress, the zips on the roof windows are closed, and the fabric bellows are not caught in the flaps or sticking out of the side of the vehicle.
