How do I use the mobile camping toilet Porta Potti properly?

The larger roadsurfer models have a wet room with integrated toilet. On the smaller campers, you can easily add the Porta Potti 335 as an extra.

It is very compact and therefore easy to store (in Camper Cabin even inside the wardrobe):

Height 31.3cm
Length 38.2cm
Width 34.2cm
Empty weight 3.3kg
Rinsing water tank 10 litres

Use

As you may have guessed, using the camping toilet is not witchcraft and is self-explanatory. To avoid mess, never - really, never - deviate from these very simple instructions:

  1. First, add water to the water tank (it is the srewing lid on the right upper corner) and add "Solbio", a biodegradable sanitary liquid. (A bottle is automatically included in your reservation)
  2. First, pull the white lever in front of the toilet to open it.
  3. Lift the lid.
  4. Use the toilet without using too much toilet paper to avoid clogs.
  5. With the hand pump on the side, flush the toilet (the water tank must be full).
  6. Close the lid and lever.

Emptying and cleaning the toilet

  1. It is best to empty and clean the toilet every 2-5 days. A marker on the front will change from green to red when the tank is full.
  2. You can dispose of the contents of the toilet at the indicated emptying points.
  3. First check if the white lever on the toilet is really closed.
  4. To empty the toilet, remove the upper part of the toilet by pulling the rear lever.

At the emptying station

  1. Hold the cassette vertically and turn the grey tube 90 degrees and unscrew the cap.
  2. Slowly tilt the pipe towards the emptying hole and at the same time carefully press the vent button to accelerate the drainage.
  3. Rinse the cassette with water several times.
  4. To clean the entire cassette you can use "Solbio", a biodegradable sanitary liquid. A bottle is automatically included in your reservation.

Tips

It is better to use special camping toilet paper. It is thinner and easier to disintegrate. If it is too expensive, you can also use normal toilet paper. Remember to bring a small toilet brush, as well as enough soap, cleaning wipes and disinfectant.
