Insurance - What are our Carefree packages and what do they cover?

Our Carefree Packages cover you in the event of an accident or damage. With the "Basic" package, you already have basic coverage included. By upgrading to an "Advanced" or "Complete" package, you can insure yourself against additional types of damage and at the same time reduce your deductible, i.e. the costs you have to pay yourself in the event of damage.

Further details on prices and benefits can be found in the table below:

* Our basic carefree package is included in the rental price, so that a maximum excess of $2,500 applies for each individual claim. Damage caused by grossly negligent or intentional behavior on the part of the renter or passenger, such as driving with the awning or roof open, driving in areas unsuitable for the size of the vehicle, improper filling of water or fuel tanks, entry of the renter into an unauthorized country, driving under the influence of alcohol, drug use, etc., are not covered by a maximum excess. The cost of repairing such damage must be borne in full by the renter. In the event of vandalism by third parties, the hirer must promptly report the damage and ensure it is documented by the police as soon as they become aware of it. Failure to cooperate promptly or adequately in such cases may result in the right to charge for the damage being retained. Further examples and information can be found in our Help Center or in the General Terms and Conditions.
