💡What are LEZ, ULEZ and CAZ?
- LEZ (Low Emission Zone):
The LEZ targets larger, older vehicles such as trucks, buses, and coaches. It applies to Greater London and operates around the clock, all year long. Vehicles that do not meet the required Euro emission standards must pay a daily charge to drive within the zone. - ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone):
The ULEZ applies to most vehicles, including cars, vans, motorcycles, and minibuses. Stricter emission standards apply here (Euro 4 for petrol, Euro 6 for diesel). The ULEZ covers all London boroughs and is also active 24/7. Non-compliant vehicles must pay a daily charge. - CAZ (Clean Air Zone):
There are four classes of CAZ (A, B, C, D), which exempt various types of vehicles. The emission standards are essentially the same as those of the London ULEZ.

🇬🇧 Pick-up in the UK: What applies to our UK-registered fleet?
- Our vehicles are registered in the United Kingdom. Compliance with emission standards is automatically checked via the UK vehicle database.
- As our vehicles meet the required Euro emission standards (Euro 6 for diesel), you do not have to pay a charge.
- No additional registration is required for UK-registered vehicles.
🇪🇺 Pick-up outside the UK: What applies to our non-UK (mostly German-registered) fleet?
- Here too, our vehicles meet the Euro 6 standard for diesel, so no charge applies, but:
- Non-UK vehicles, including those registered in Germany, must be registered with Transport for London (TfL) before entering the LEZ or ULEZ:
TfL registration for non-UK vehicles - For all cities with CAZ registration is possible here:
