❄️ Winter camping - Camper Castle (Knaus Sky Wave)

Even if you are not in the camper, it is recommended that you leave the parking heater on.
8 - 10°C is sufficient!
In this way, the antifreeze valve does not trigger and the water remains in the tank.

Be aware that the heater not only consumes gas/diesel, but also a lot of electricity. You can usually be self-sufficient with your Roadsurfer for 1-2 days before you have to recharge the battery by driving or using shore power. Check in the evening whether the camping battery has at least 12.3 V (50%) voltage - otherwise it will be a cold night! If the heater does not have enough voltage and you start it several times in vain, the system may lock up completely for safety reasons.

In general, you are safer on a campsite with shore power in winter, as there is no risk of errors with the heating due to undervoltage.

Tank Heater

Activate the fresh and waste water tank heater. That way the water in your tanks won't freeze:

  • For this, the so-called "Strangsperre" must be open.
  • Make sure that the shown cord is hanging freely and is not inserted into the plastic clamps under tension.tankheizung.jpg
