♨️ Heating - Sunrise Suite (VW New California)

The stationary heating on your Sunrise Suite also works when the engine is not running. The heating system operates using the camping battery and diesel. Make sure you have at least 1/3 of the tank and of the battery full in order to use the heating through the night.

Start the auxiliary heating
  1. Press and hold the marked button on the board computer (passenger side next to the sliding door) until it activates:

  2. When the board computer is activated, press the home button again to open the camping menu:

  3. Press “Heating & ventilation”:

  4. Activate “Continuous operation” and select a level in the “Heat setting” area:

  • Continuous operation: this setting will maintain the temperature inside the car all night long.
  • Heat immediately: If you press heat immediately, the heating will run for a maximum of 120 min (You can adjust the heating duration using the “Heating duration” setting) and then shut off automatically. Do NOT press heat continuously and heat immediately at the same time! This could stop the heating from working!

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure you have enough battery (it should always be in the green area) and diesel in your tank (more than 1/3).
  • If the board computer is not working check the marked fuse and replace it if necessary:
  1. Open the marked drawer (this is best done with the seat folded down and the bed made):

  2. Remove the bottom plate:

  3. Check the marked fuse and replace it if necessary:      sicherung bc.jpg

Before any fuse is pulled, following safety measures is required:

  1. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
  2. Unplug the car from any external power supply.
  3. Pull carefully on the fuse by pulling from the sides.
  4. A damaged fuse can be burnt or have the connector broken (see picture). If so, please replace it. You can find them at petrol stations and hardware stores.
