🛏️ The pop-up roof - Sunrise Suite (VW New California)

The roof of the Sunrise Suite opens automatically by pressing the button next to the multimedia display in the cockpit.

Open the pop-up roof

1. Make sure there is enough space above the vehicle.
2. Open a door or window.
3. Turn on the ignition (make sure that the key is near the cockpit, press the ON/OFF button next to the steering wheel without pressing the brake):
   
4. Slide the roof bed blind open:
   
5. Press and hold the marked button next to the navigation system until the roof is fully open:
   
   
6. Don't forget to turn off the ignition when the roof is completely open!

Good to know

When the pop-up roof is open, you can simply fold up the slatted frame to get more standing room in the vehicle:

Closing the pop-up roof

1. Make sure the slatted frame is folded down.
2. Open a door or window.
3. Turn on the ignition (make sure that the key is near the cockpit, press the ON/OFF button next to the steering wheel without pressing the brake):
   
4. Slide the roof bed blind open:
   
5. Press and hold the marked button next to the navigation system until the roof is fully closed:
   
6. Close the roof blind.
7. Don't forget to turn off the ignition when the roof is completely closed!

Open the pop-up roof

1. Make sure there is enough space above the vehicle.
2. Open a door or window.
3. Slide the roof bed blind open:
   
4. Hold the button on the handle while turning the lever toward the windshield (driver and passenger side):
   
   
5. Push the roof up, all the way.

2. Open a door or window.
3. Slide the roof bed blind open:
   
4. Pull down the roof (Use the rope):
   
5. Hold the button on the handle pressed while turning the lever toward the rear of the vehicle (driver and passenger side):
   
   
6. Close the roof blind.
