💧 Water leaking under the camper and cold protection valve - Road House (Weinsberg CaraTour/CaraBus 540)

If water is leaking under the car, it may be that the antifreeze valve is open by mistake:

  • Make sure that the drains of the fresh- and wastewater tanks are closed.
  • Check that the antifreeze valve is closed. It is located behind the flap compartment under the back seat.
  • This is how the antifreeze valve works:

The cold protection (or anti freeze) valve automatically drains the boiler when there is a risk of frost. This prevents the drain from freezing.

The system measures the temperature inside the van. As soon as it is around 3 degrees or lower the system is activated and lets all the water that was in the boiler and the fresh water tank out. To deactivate the system, the room temperature has to be a least 7 degrees, otherwise the blue button will jump out again.

To ensure that the water supply continues to function and the valve is switched on, the blue lever must be turned clockwise and then the blue button must be pressed in.

  • Also, check at this point whether the boiler valve is open by mistake. This you find in the kitchen cabinet on the floor inside the cabinet. Turn the valve to close it:
