To change the gas bottles (2 x 11 kg), several steps must be followed to ensure safe handling:
- Switch off the heating/boiler and make sure the gas flow is stopped. The gas flow is stopped by turning the grey valves to a horizontal position. The valves are located under the stove in the kitchen behind the flap.
- The gas compartment with the gas flasks is on the driver's side. Fold the black metal flap to better access the gas bottles.
- If one of the gas flasks has gas you can just change the hose onto the bottle that is still full.
- If one or both bottles are empty, close them by turning the brass-coloured valve at the top of the bottle towards the "-" sign.
- Unscrew the connector from the gas bottle (Left-hand thread!).
- Loosen the straps around the gas bottle.
- Take the bottle out of the compartment and replace it with a full one.
- Securely fasten the bottle again with the straps.
- Screw the connector onto the gas bottle again.
- Open the gas flow again by turning the knob at the top of the bottle towards the "+" sign.
- Fold the black metal flap back upwards and close the gas compartment.
Attention
- Do not use any tools to screw the connector onto the gas bottle, otherwise it may not be possible to unscrew it!
- Be sure to close the shut-off valves and the gas bottles while driving!
- Please also note that for safety reasons the gas compartment must not be used as a storage space.
Please note that bottles purchased outside Germany may require an adapter. Here you will find all possible adapters and information about gas suppliers abroad.
