The large refrigerator with a small ice compartment is located on the left side of the kitchen area when you enter the vehicle.
To switch on the refrigerator, make sure the camper unit is activated:
If it is activated, you can switch on the refrigerator by pressing the button above the refrigerator: Press until it lights up blue.
Now set the desired cooling level using the snowflake symbol. We recommend level 3.
On the right side is another button, the "Mode" button. When you press the "Mode" button, you can choose between night mode and boost mode.
- In boost mode, the refrigerator cools much faster, but also uses more battery.
- In night mode, the fridge will be a little quieter for 8 hours.
- The refrigerator reaches its full cooling capacity after about 4 hours.
- To operate the refrigerator as quickly as possible, it is best to fill it with chilled food.
Watch it in the video:
Be a little patient 🥰
Please be aware that it may take a few hours until the fridge is fully cooled down! The warmer the environment is and the more food you put in, the longer it may take.
You can speed up the cooling process by:
- putting food in, that already comes from a fridge
- adding cool-packs/ice-packs
Troubleshooting
What you should always check in case of a malfunction:
- Camping battery charge status - charge it if needed or try running it from an external power source.
- Battery isolator switch, main fuse and RCD switch if applicable - Check that both are switched on, otherwise the living area will not be supplied with power.
- Check the fuse for the refrigerator (20A) at position 2. The fuse box is located under the driver's seat:
Before any fuse is pulled, following safety measures is required:
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the contact.
- Unplug the car from any external power supply.
- Pull carefully on the fuse by pulling from the sides.
- A damaged fuse can be burnt or have the connector broken (see picture). If so, please replace it. You can find them at petrol stations and hardware stores.
