Can I bring my e-bike?

Yes, you can generally transport an e-bike on your camper – but there are some important points to consider:

1. Weight restrictions

  • Most bike racks on our campers are designed for a maximum total weight of 35-66 kg – depending on the model.
  • Each rail has a limit that must not be exceeded, even if the total weight has not yet been reached
  • No matter if it’s a regular bike or an e-bike – you must stay within the weight restrictions for both the total load and per rail!

You can load the following bikes here:

  • up to 2 (3 for Camper Castle) bikes
  • Total weight of all bikes: up to 50 kg
  • Load per rail: max. 30kg

2. Restrictions for certain camper models

For some models (e.g., Camper Cabin), the tailgate can only be opened if the bikes are removed from the rack first. Please keep this in mind for stopovers.

3. Securing the e-bike

  • Secure the e-bike with the designated frame and wheel straps. We describe the handling for each model in detail in the "Instructions & Troubleshooting" section.
  • Use additional tension straps to increase stability.
  • Make sure the bikes do not cover any taillights or turn signals.
  • Remove the e-bike battery before transport to save weight and prevent damage. This is required for safety reasons in case of possible accidents!
  • The warning sign for Italy/Spain must be attached if you are traveling to these countries.
  • Check the attachment regularly while on the road.

In short: Yes, you can bring an e-bike if you choose a model with a suitable bike rack, observe the weight limits, and secure it carefully.
