The Camper Cabin handbrake is designed so that you can turn the driver's seat without hitting it. This is why it sinks back to the floor when activated. This may give the impression that it is not engaged or not working.
So when you try to deactivate it, it may feel a little unusual. To release the handbrake, press the button and pull the lever backwards until it clicks into place. This may require quite a lot of force โ€“ the passenger may need to stand behind the driver's seat to help.
If you have parked on a downhill slope, don't forget to put your foot on the brake to prevent the car from rolling.
